Nine days short of your twelfth birthday, you will live on in our hearts forever, for you were our first. Thank you for the joy you brought into our lives, and the wonderful progeny you left us with to remember you by. You lived to be a great great great grandmother. The words of Byron best decribe you: One who possessed Beauty without Vanity, Strength without Insolence, Courage without Ferocity, And all the Virtues of Man Without his Vices. Now you lie peacefully, under the old Blackwood Tree, where you can watch over allcomers - a job you never tired of. |

Of the many wonderful Rotts that we have bred that can be seen in the UBERSEIN DOGS pages, there are nevertheless a number who have stood out for us in their own particular way. Some are the beginnings of our kennel, some are our first big winners, others exceptional working or producing Rotts. These animals command their own page:

And last but not least on the 2011 calendar we would like to extend a huge congratulations to our dear friend Karen Mather and her lovely Juddy boy, who "came of age" at the 21st National Rottweiler Specialty winning BEST IN SHOW under most respected International Rottweiler Specialtist (as well as All Breeds judge) OLGA GRIN (Russia)

Furthermore, progeny from Judd's 3 litters were ALL on the pegs at this National - Congratulations to our friends Peter and Kathey at Blickscharf Kennels with their lovely owned and bred Judd-Kessy pups that won both Puppy Dog and Puppy Bitch Classes. Also with their Minor Puppy Staratraxn bitch bred by Eileen McGregor - VP2 behind her Ubersein cousin. Judd's older daughters from our Ubersein litter; Sempur Venia and Sempur Veneratio were V4 and V6 respectively from a Junior bitch entry of 22.

And in what produced our favourite picture of the show, many congratulations to Tracey Finn with the inimitable dam of both the winning dog and the winning bitch. Dual Ch. (T) Ubersein Pucker Up CDX TSDX, pictured here winning her 3rd "BEST BROOD BITCH IN SPECIALTY SHOW" with 3 of the progeny from her one and only litter. All these 3 are BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW WINNERS. Pucks dam NRCA & Aust Ch. Ubersein Masquerade is Australia's Most Successful Specialty Brood Bitch, winning 9 Awards. Likewise Masquerade has produced 3 BISS winners from a single litter. Pucks grand-dam Schwarzkraft Aphrodite similarly accumulated 3 Best Brood Bitch awards with progeny from a single litter. Aphrodite's grand dam (to whom Puck is line bred) Aust. Ch. Ubersein Coy O Corrie, won 5 Brood Bitch awards herself following up on her dam Aust. Ch. Ubersein Abbey Ablaze's Best Brood Bitch at the 1996 National. And so Puck, and her daughter Voom, continue to evolve and enhance the the tradition of the exceptionally strong and true Ubersein bitch line.
And whilst it was finally Judd's turn for the high honours, his beautiful Multi BISS sister NRCA & Aust. Ch. Ubersein Va Va Voom CCD still came home with Challenge Bitch from 130 bitches, Best Australian Bred In Show and a huge glow of pride for the sheer class of her progeny from her first litter; they truly shone! Four males shown in the Minor Puppy Class took placings 1-4 from an entry of 11. Sister (and aptly named Drop Dead Gorgeous) was VP1 in the Minor Puppy Bitch class entry of 17. And littermates Dynamite and Dream Catch Me moved up to the Puppy Classes each went VP2 behind their Blickscharf cousins, still holding their own in spite of being considerably younger than the other participants in these classes. We believe Voom's litter are shaping up to be our most promising yet and look forward to the contribution they may make to the Rottweiler scene both here and abroad. Many thanks to Agnieszka of Lewirot for letting us bring Gandalf to Australia in such a striking fashion. Voom herself of course hails from a SUPERIOR BITCH LINE that continues to prove itself with outstanding progeny through a wide variety of thoughtfully chosen stud dogs along the way and now into our 3rd decade in the breed. Progeny that routinely produce for these such studs their most successful ever litters.
2011 has proved to be a year of exceptional success for Team Ubersein. Of the 15 Specialty Shows across Australasia, adult Ubersein dogs were in attendance at 13 of these events. 6 different Ubersein dogs won Best In Show or Runner Up In Show at 9 of these 13 Specialties. We believe this to be a record without compare.
